After phoning 10 different repair shops in my area to repair my Brada portable dishwasher, all of which would not even come look at it. I finally tried one more, well luckily I did, John came out right away and within 3 hours of my call I was up and running again, it was a simple fix and he was able to get it running in about 5m....he then spent the remainder of his time cleaning and drying my machine and monitoring it to make sure it was still fine. I can't recommend John highly enough. He is a really nice guy who took the time to thoroughly test everything and to explain what he was doing and what my options were. He didn't suggest which one he thought I should choose, left it to me. The part had to go to the technicians for test and repair and John came back this morning and put everything back in and it works again. Great service! John is great and professional. Our landlords booked him in as our dishwasher wasn’t working properly. John came and was professional and definitely knew his craft. He found the issue, where a pump wasn’t working. He informed us that a new pump was needed. While we were on the phone filling our landlord in, John went ahead and double checked the pump making sure it was broken and not just something stuck in there. He took the entire pump out and checked it, and sure enough, it was just clogged. We were able to tell our landlords it was fixed, saving them either $500 in repairs/labour or a new dishwasher! Such great customer service, and doing the extra due diligence to make sure he didn’t miss anything means these guys would be my first call, hands down, in any other similar situation. Highly recommend this business. I needed a repair tech to come look at our fridge over the weekend. John was on call over the weekend and very responsive, he arrived right away. John arrived at my home almost a week ago to fix the freezer portion of my refrigerator/freezer appliance. I was impressed from the get-go, because he arrived earlier than his stated time window. As it turned out, the repairs on the appliance did not return the unit to full working order. John was fantastic. He was right on time, professional, and extremely helpful. He was very efficient in diagnosing and fixing the issue with our Bosch dishwasher, and had all of the parts readily available. He was transparent with the cost of the repair, and did multiple tests to ensure everything was working accordingly. Prior to having our dishwasher repaired, we dealt with clogged drains and an awful odour. The previous owners did not treat their appliances well. Since the repair, we have had no issue, the smell is gone, and the dishwasher works like brand new. We will definitely be contacting starfix again in the future for any appliance needs we have.

I contacted StarFix for a second opinion. Initially i contacted brookswood appliance (Dec 22, 2022) for repairing a water line for ice and water. The tech came and charged me $120 for the call out and said there was nothing he could do and recommended to get rid of the fridge and replace it. He offered a replacement fridge through brookswood appliance. The next day (today Dec 23, 2022) I called out StarFix and Jon came and took one look at the fridge and said yes it’s an easy repair. He was in and out in 30 min with the water line working again. The fee for a service call out was $100 and because of a smaller job he charged $50 on top. He was pleasant and helpful. As a single mom on a fixed income I found Brookswood appliance to be a bit predatory in their suggestion to take away my fridge and offer a replacement one- it made me think maybe they would have repaired my water line and then resold as a replacement fridge to someone else. I highly recommend StarFix. He even came out in the snowstorm to help today. I will be using them from now on.
