About Fisher & Paykel appliances
Fisher & Paykel is a New Zealand manufacturer with a genuinely different approach to appliance design. Its DishDrawer puts dishwashing into one or two independent drawers, and its SmartDrive laundry used a direct-drive motor long before the rest of the industry followed.
The company designs for modular repair: major assemblies are intended to be swapped rather than the whole machine condemned. That philosophy makes these appliances worth repairing, provided the technician understands the architecture.

Fisher & Paykel repair — common questions
My DishDrawer is leaking from the front. Is that the seal?
Usually the lid seal or the lid mechanism that clamps it. Both are serviceable parts and it is a common, well-understood fault on these drawers.
One drawer works and the other does not. Is that normal?
The two drawers are largely independent, so a fault in one does not affect the other. It narrows the diagnosis down quickly.
Are Fisher & Paykel parts available in BC?
Yes, though less widely stocked than mass-market brands. Common seals and modules are obtainable; we order the same day when something is not on the van.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
