About Haier appliances
Haier is the largest appliance manufacturer in the world by volume and has owned GE Appliances since 2016. In Canada the Haier badge usually appears on compact and apartment-sized machines — the fridges, washers and dishwashers that fit Vancouver condos and basement suites.
Since the GE acquisition, Haier's North American engineering and parts chain increasingly overlap with GE's, which has made these machines easier to support than they once were.

Is Haier related to GE?
Haier bought GE Appliances in 2016. The two increasingly share engineering and parts in North America, which has improved availability for Haier machines.
Is a compact Haier fridge worth repairing?
It depends on the fault. A gasket, thermostat or fan is worth fixing. A failed sealed system on a low-cost compact unit usually is not, and we will tell you so.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
