About Wolf appliances
Wolf is Sub-Zero's cooking counterpart and builds ranges, rangetops, wall ovens and cooktops for people who cook seriously. The dual-stack sealed burners and the red control knobs are the brand signature.
Like Sub-Zero, Wolf appliances are built to be repaired. Gas models are common in Lower Mainland kitchens, and gas work in BC requires a licensed gas fitter — which is not optional and not something every appliance company can offer.
What tends to fail, in our experience
- Spark igniters and ignition modules clicking continuously or failing to light
- Burner caps and heads that have corroded or been reassembled wrongly after cleaning
- Oven temperature sensors drifting, so the oven runs hot or cold
- Convection fan motors becoming noisy
- Door hinges and seals on wall ovens
Why our team is comfortable with Wolf
Trained on the systems that matter
- Gas-certified technicians on staff for gas Wolf cooking appliances — a BC licence requirement, not an optional extra
- We read service modes and stored fault history, not just the code on the front panel
Parts, and first-visit repairs
- We carry the common Wolf wear parts — pumps, locks, sensors, elements and belts — on the van
- That stock is why roughly 90% of our jobs finish on the first visit
- Anything we do not carry is ordered the same day from Lower Mainland distributors
- Every repair carries a 90-day parts and labour warranty
Gas work needs a licensed fitter
Most Wolf cooking appliances in this region are gas. In British Columbia, gas work must be done by a licensed gas fitter. We have gas-certified technicians on staff, so a Wolf range is a job we can complete rather than diagnose and hand off.
Wolf repair — common questions
My Wolf burner clicks but will not light. What is it?
Usually the igniter or a burner cap that is not seated correctly after cleaning. Both are quick fixes. If the clicking continues with the burner lit, it is the spark module.
Do you need a gas licence to work on my Wolf range?
Yes, and we have one. In BC gas work is restricted to licensed gas fitters, so make sure whoever you call can actually complete the job.
My Wolf oven runs hotter than the setting. Can it be recalibrated?
Yes. It is usually the temperature sensor drifting, and in some cases a calibration adjustment is all that is needed.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
Do you cover my area?
We cover Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, from West Vancouver through to Agassiz, seven days a week between 8am and 8pm.
