We service Thermador ranges and cooktops, wall ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
About Thermador appliances
Thermador is the premium North American brand of the Bosch group, and it shows: the engineering underneath is largely Bosch, with Thermador's own cooking technology on top. The Star burner on its gas cooktops is the brand signature, as is the Freedom induction surface.
Because the group platforms are shared, Thermador diagnostics and many parts overlap with Bosch, which helps availability on a brand that would otherwise be niche. Most Thermador installations here are built-in, so service access needs planning.
What tends to fail, in our experience
- Spark igniters on Star burner cooktops
- Induction control boards on Freedom cooktops
- Oven temperature sensors and door hinges on wall ovens
- Dishwasher drain pumps and heaters, shared with the Bosch platform
- Built-in refrigeration fans and defrost systems
Why our team is comfortable with Thermador
Trained on the systems that matter
- Sealed-system and compressor work, so a fridge that is not cooling does not automatically become a replacement
- Gas-certified technicians on staff for gas Thermador cooking appliances — a BC licence requirement, not an optional extra
- We read service modes and stored fault history, not just the code on the front panel
Parts, and first-visit repairs
- We carry the common Thermador wear parts — pumps, locks, sensors, elements and belts — on the van
- That stock is why roughly 90% of our jobs finish on the first visit
- Anything we do not carry is ordered the same day from Lower Mainland distributors
- Every repair carries a 90-day parts and labour warranty
Thermador error codes we see most often
If your appliance is showing one of these, quote it when you call — it usually tells us which part to bring.
Built on the Bosch group platform
Thermador belongs to the same group as Bosch and shares much of its engineering, including the dishwasher platform and fault language. That is why the codes below are the Bosch set and why parts are better supported than the brand's niche position would suggest.
Dishwashers
| E15 | Water in the base pan — AquaStop has tripped. |
| E24 / E25 | Not draining. Filter, pump or hose. |
| E22 | Filter blocked. |
| E09 | Flow-through heater fault. |
| E01 / E02 | Control or heating relay. |
Ovens
| E011 | Stuck key on the touch control. |
| E305 | Oven temperature sensor. |
Thermador repair — common questions
Is Thermador the same as Bosch?
Same parent group, with Thermador positioned above. Many platforms and parts are shared, which is good news for availability and diagnosis.
My Star burner will not light on one side. Is that serious?
Usually just the igniter or a burner cap seated incorrectly. The Star burner geometry makes correct reassembly after cleaning more important than on a conventional burner.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
Do you cover my area?
We cover Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, from West Vancouver through to Agassiz, seven days a week between 8am and 8pm.
