About Inglis appliances
Inglis is a Canadian name with a long history, and since 1990 it has been Whirlpool's domestic value brand here. If you have an Inglis washer or dryer, you effectively have a Whirlpool machine with a different badge.
That is useful to know when something breaks. Parts counter staff will often ask for the Whirlpool equivalent model, and the fault codes, service modes and components are Whirlpool's. Inglis appliances are simple, which keeps repairs cheap.

Inglis has been a Whirlpool brand in Canada since 1990. The machines are Whirlpool platforms with Inglis badging, so Whirlpool parts fit and Whirlpool fault codes apply. That is why parts for an older Inglis are still easy to find.
Washers
| F8 E1 / LF | Long fill — taps, inlet screens or the water valve. |
| F9 E1 / Ld | Long drain. Usually the pump or a blocked drain hose. |
| F5 E2 / dL | Door will not lock. Latch or lock assembly. |
| Sud / F0 E5 | Suds lock, or a badly unbalanced load. |
| F7 E1 | Motor cannot reach speed — often a shifter or drive fault. |
Dryers
| F01 / F1 | Main control board. |
| AF | Restricted airflow. Vent or lint path, not the dryer. |
| PF | Power failure during the cycle. |
| L2 | Low or no line voltage — one leg of the 240V supply. |
Dishwashers
| F8 E4 | Overfill or float switch. |
| F7 E1 | Heater circuit not reaching temperature. |
| F6 E4 | Water inlet — valve or supply. |
| Clean light flashing | Stored fault. The flash count identifies it. |

Inglis repair — common questions
Can you still get parts for an old Inglis?
Usually yes, because they are Whirlpool parts. That is the practical advantage of the badge: a twenty-year-old Inglis washer often shares components with machines still in production.
Is an Inglis worth repairing?
For the common faults, yes. Lid switches, couplers and belts are inexpensive and the machines are simple enough that labour stays low.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
