About Jenn-Air appliances
Jenn-Air is Whirlpool's luxury kitchen brand, best known for downdraft cooktops and built-in cooking. It appears mostly in higher-end Lower Mainland kitchens and in homes renovated for an integrated, panel-ready look.
The downdraft ventilation system is the brand's distinguishing feature and the part most often misunderstood: it pulls cooking air down through a vent beside the burners rather than up into a hood, and the blower and damper in that path are serviceable parts.

Jenn-Air repair — common questions
My Jenn-Air downdraft will not rise. Is it repairable?
Usually. The lift motor, the blower and the damper are all serviceable. It is worth fixing rather than replacing, because retrofitting a hood is a far bigger job.
Can you work on built-in Jenn-Air refrigeration?
Yes. Built-in units generally need to be pulled from the cabinetry, which we plan for when booking.
How much does the repair cost?
You get a firm quote after diagnosis and you approve it before any work starts. If we cannot fix the appliance, you do not pay.
